I'm not dead. XD

Just busy doing...nothing. No actually I'm thinking about stuff to add to this site. Which I probably will, after the Fire Sale at MyspacePros. Should be able to make a good amount of money from it. ;] Hopefully anyway. Add more later. Meanwhile listen to my favorite songs from my 'Dance' playlist.

Today I went to the eye doctor to get new lenses in my glasses as my prescription changed. Apparently the lenses were too small though, and they weren't able to do it. They said they could send it in though, but that'll take five-seven business days to you know, do their stuff. Unfortunately, I can't survive even a day without my glasses. Especially not a week. Yes, my vision is that bad.

What I will do? Probably just get new glasses from somewhere and if I really like them, that'll be the end. But if I don't, then it'll just be a spare. I seriously have a problem though. The frames I currently wear are the only frames I like and suit me. Well, I'll see.

Eskimo Joe is a restaurant in Oklahoma, yet it's also a band. The other day I was on a baby names site and searched my name. Then under 'Songs About Sarah,' it had Sarah - Eskimo Joe. This usually wouldn't call for much attention if it weren't for this one guy at school who always wears these shirts with Eskimo Joe on it.

So I did what anybody else searching for music would do, I YouTubed it. It was actually a pretty good song. And under related videos they had some more songs of theirs, and I loved every single one of them. Below are the songs I found on playlist.com. There are a few more that you can youtube but these are most.

The following was written solely by me.

I cuddled my old baby quilt near my chest as I stared out the window. I watched my breath clouding the window with smog. I messily wiped the fog off the window with my sleeve and continued to stare out. Watching as trees rustled in the gust knocking over the wooden birdhouse. Bushes crackled flying leaves away.
"It’s going to snow, I know it!" I whispered fiercely to myself. I crossed my fingers and hoped that it would; even though I knew the possibility of it snowing was nearly impossible according to the weatherman’s scientific explanation.
"Its NOT going to snow," my older sister Mary Ann pestered, who was laying on the bed next to mine. She always thought she was right, even if she wasn’t. Apparently, she believed Mr. Geoff about the weather. Dumb old science!
"You watch!" I yelled stuffing my pillow in her face from my bed, a meter away.
"Whatever," she said hastily throwing the blue Christmas pillow back at me. Mary Ann then drifted off to sleep. Deafening snores came from her still tan body.
I on the other hand, stood awake for hours on end trying to prove Mary Ann wrong. Every minute or so, I glanced over to the window, trudging the curtains open, checking to see if white flakes fell softly to the ground yet. Unfortunately, my eyelids drooped down over my heavy eyes at around two. My sleepy eyes couldn’t take the pressure anymore.
At seven the next morning, I jerked forward. I felt as if a signal poured over my whole body, awakening me. I yanked my sheets off revealing icy air, suffocating me. I ignored the cold and tugged my burgundy curtain open. Quickly, I peeked out the glass and stared at the white snowflakes with my hazel eyes mystically gathering on the grass. Icicles hung from the ceiling above the shady porch. Snow stacked up around the wired gate. The horses sprinted in their stable searching for a warm place to go. I couldn’t believe what I saw.
"Wow," I said jumping off my bed. Grinning, I pushed Mary Ann side to side on her bed. "Mary Ann, Mary Ann, wake up!"
"Huh, why?" She said groggily covering herself in her sheets intensely.
"Just look out the window!" I dragged her comforter off.
Mary Ann stood up and stared at the magical wonder. She was flabbergasted at the flakes! " You were right! It’s a Winter Wonderland!" She hurriedly got out of bed. "Come on, lets go play outside!"
"Winter Wonderland, why didn’t I think of that," I exclaimed following her into the icy tunnel of fun!

The following was written solely by me.

Anna Clopton scurried around her messy closet searching for a gorgeous dress for her date tonight. Something was going to happen. A big something, Anna could feel it. She walked around with butterflies in her stomach, wondering if something good was to happen, or something awful. A couple’s limo ride to the Waterfront sounded like somewhere both, bad news and good news would come from. The Waterfront was a romantic dining in front of an extravagant pond covered in earth. Green lily pads comfort frogs as well as the flowers around. It was Heaven!
Rinnnng. Rinnnng.
Alisha, Anna’s best friend’s cell phone went. Alisha snatched her magenta RAZR open.
"Hello," she replied into the phone.
"I have nothing to wear!" Anna complained.
"Oh, chill already!" Alisha said. "I’ll be over in a jiffy. Bye."
Ten minutes later, Alisha arrived at Anna’s doorstep. She let herself in only to find Anna desperately upsetting her closet. Clothes were everywhere! On the bed, on the television, on the desk, you name it!
"Yo, no need to make a mess!" Alisha said in astonishment.
Anna spun around. An aqua bobby pin sailed to the floor. "Why," she quietly said to herself.
"Because I have the most gorgeous dress, ever!" Alisha continued, slamming the dress on an empty spot on the flowery pink bedspread.
The dress was metallic gray and shiny silk. The top part was just two pieces of cloth hanging over the chest. The cloths lead into the bottom half. A strong hem tightened it so it lifted a bit. Overall it was a beautiful dress!
Anna was flabbergasted. She held the silky dress in her newly moisturized hands.
"This dress is, is," Anna stuttered searching for words. "Its, its, its, its perfect!"
Alisha grinned, "Now that that’s been taken care of, welcome to Alisha’s Salon! Time to pamper you up!"

Andy looked up from his hundredth time of reading the Waterfront’s Lake brochure. His digital clock red 1:45 pm. Andy groaned. Still many hours to go until the grand date. His eyes withdrew themselves upon the brochure once more. Andy wondered if this restaurant was great enough. He sighed, "I just wish she’ll say yes," he whispered to himself.
Andy stood up and headed for his bedroom to get an early start dressing. Normally, Andy would have hated getting into a fancy tuxedo. But, he’d do anything for his love, Anna.

Anna stood at the mirror admiring her look. Her long blonde hair was curled and hung in a low ponytail that swung around her long neck. Her face, pampered and fresh, glee violently with shades of color drew. Anna was wearing the metallic gray dress Alisha provided. After a few adjustments, it finally fit right. Not too loose, and not too tight. Just perfect! Anna’s very own silver shoes matched her skeptical body without doubt. "You look". magnificent!" Alisha exclaimed.
"Thanks," Anna said. "It wouldn’t have been possible without you though."
Alisha beamed.
"Now what time did you say the limo comes?" Alisha asked.
"Seven-thirty," Anna said worrying. "Do you think my makeup will stay on until then?"
Alisha glanced at her watch. A quarter till seven. "Forty-five more minutes, it shouldn’t wear away."
"Good," Anna slumped on her couch, waiting impatiently.

Andy looked out the window. He could see a transparent image of himself. His brown hair tucked itself neatly under gel. The tux was unworn and handsome. Anybody could tell that this date was important!
Andy hummed, complimenting himself on his lovely attire.
He flashed the plasma television on, bored to death. A green stadium flickered as he watched helpless football players try to win with all their might. But soon enough, the limo arrived.
Andy was in the middle of the game when he heard a soft honk outside. Anxiously, he yanked the wooden blinds open. A black limo was waiting at the curve. He checked his pockets for all he needed, and walked towards the automobile.

Honk! Honk! A dark limo’s engine gave off in front of Anna’s quiet apartment.
Anna and Alisha exchanged looks before heading for the door.
"Good luck," Alisha wished her putting the door on ajar.
Anna mouthed thank you and put on a five star smile. Slowly, but elegantly, she made her way down the concrete stairs and into the car.

"Hey," Andy welcomed Anna helping her in.
"Hey," Anna replied crossing her legs.
"You look very pretty," he said.
"Thanks. And you look unbearably handsome," Anna laughed.
To Andy, a way of saying ‘Thank You’ to your girlfriend was to kiss her. So, that was exactly what he did. And the couple didn’t let go of each other until they reached the Waterfront.
A fancy building stood out from all the rest. This dining had the word ‘Waterfront’, engraved at the top cement post. Statues and fountains aligned the stone barrier. A dark red carpet introduced you to the glass door.
The large vehicle halted to a stop. Anna gleamed out in amazement, watching the structures.
"Shall we?" Andy tucked her hand neatly against his own. He led Anna down the red carpet and towards the crystal clear entrance.
Inside, was a few numbers of chattering men and women. But soothing classical music erased all voices. Valuable paintings hung at each wall over the checkered white and manila wallpaper. The golden tiles went with everything in the room; from the chandeliers to the tablecloth! It was ideal for a date like this one.
"Hale’s reservation," Andy told the women standing at the podium. She was wearing a dark green vest, just like the other employee’s.
"Follow me sir," the lady said searching for the perfect table.
The two seated at a table for two. Out the window you could see shiny water and bark.
"Hello, I’m Joe and I’ll be your waiter for tonight," he said filling up the glasses with icy cold water. He then put an extravagant menu on each placemat. "Please call me if you need any assistance."
After Joe left, Anna smiled. She slipped her hand into Andy’s and with the other, flipped through the menu.
Ten minutes later, Joe arrived.
"Decided on an entrée?"
"Yes," Andy answered. "I’ll have the baked ziti."
All eyes grew on Anna. "Chicken Alfredo," she quickly added.
"Refreshments?" Joe asked.
"Sprite," they answered at the same time chuckling.
They silently waited with the usual cough or sneeze. The food came and still silence. However, occasionally they asked each other how the food was. Tiny chattering was all.
Soon, after all the dishes were picked up, Joe strolled over with a chocolate cake in hand. He set the brown cake in the middle of the table and peeled off the lid. The cake revealed lettering of, ‘Happy Anniversary Anna!"
"Omigosh! I totally forgot!" Anna silently cried.
‘This was the big surprise?’ she thought.
"Hun, its okay. We don’t have to eat it if you don’t want to. We can just go straight to the lake. Is that what you want to do sweetheart?"
Anna nodded. Andy took Anna outside from her cold hands.
"I didn’t even get you a penny," Anna admitted.
They traveled around the pond a bit slower at this point.
"I have terrible memory! But how could I forget something so big!" She quickly said.
"Slow down," Andy said stopping in a treeless area so you could stand right next to the water. "Saying yes, would give me the biggest and best gift anybody has ever given me."
Anna’s heart furiously beat faster predicting what was next.
Andy fastened himself down on one knee, fidgeting with something in his pocket. Anna’s eyes widened even more as he repeated the words any wish to hear their whole life.
"Anna Clopton, will you marry me?" Andy asked opening a furry jewelry box.
Anna cried of joy hearing those magical words.
"Yes Andy, I will!"
She snatched the ring and immediately hugged and kissed Andy passionately.

“Slow down,” Andy said stopping in a treeless area so you could stand right next to the water. “Saying yes, would give me the biggest and best gift anybody has ever given me.”
Anna’s heart furiously beat faster predicting what was next.
Andy fastened himself down on one knee, fidgeting with something in his pocket. Anna’s eyes widened even more as he repeated the words any wish to hear their whole life.
“Anna Clopton, will you marry me?” Andy asked opening a furry jewelry box.
Anna cried of joy hearing those magical words.
“Yes Andy, I will!”
She snatched the ring and immediately hugged and kissed Andy passionately.

The Locker Next Door

The following was written solely by me.

My back leaned against my next-door locker as I rummaged through my locker searching for a spare pen. I was lucky. In rare occasions students got a locker in the middle of a secluded trio. I however, was one of those. I just found a pen and was in the process of yanking it out when I felt a soft tap on my shoulder. My first guess was a fly, but then I noticed it was a girl as I spun around. The student stood to my shoulder, and it didn’t help that she wore flat flip-flops. The next thing I noticed was her garments. She had on a pink knee-length dresslike shirt. Fitted around her legs, where sky blue legging type things. The two looked out of silk and had many beads and such worked onto it. Her tan skin slid around her dark eyes. Contrasting the eyes, was her long black hair held in a braid.
"Excuse me," she spoke in a thick Indian accent. "I think that’s mera, I mean, my locker."
I nodded and stepped out of the way. I snatched my pen and slammed the storage compartment shut. That’s when I noticed she was fumbling with her locker. My first instinct was to walk away to my first period, but something stopped me.
"Do you need help?" I asked.
"Yes, thank you," she replied. "My numbers are 6, 17, 23."
I took over and in the matter of a few seconds we heard a ‘CLING’.
"What’s your name?" I couldn’t help asking.
"Pooja Patel," Pooja answered.
"Oh, I’m Vanessa Lynn. Where are you from?" I added since I’ve never heard of somebody with her name.
"I’m a foreign exchange student from India."
"Oh, so that explains the whole locker thing."
We giggled.
"So what’s your next class?" I asked grinning.
"Math," she answered reading her schedule.
"Same!" I exclaimed. "We can go together!"
At that moment the bell rang. Pooja and I narrowed the halls. It was the beginning of a great friendship, and it all started with the empty locker next to mine.

I need to update the fanupdate and update the site more often and update the coming soon stuff. Ugh, at least it's summer break!

To brighten this post up, at least tonight is So You Think You Can Dance! I can't wait! It's the first show that they'll be doing pair dancing since they picked the Top 20 last week. Watch it at 7pm Central on Fox. Hehe, I sound like an advertisement. I am in a way...but hey! I love this tv show.

*Yawn* Sims yet again

Uck, I spent this whole weekend literally playing sims. That's all I did...almost. I lurked around some sites here and there but mostly played sims. Such a time waster. And now it's almost 9pm, Monday night and I have done nothing with my site all weekend. All four day weekend to be more precise. At least I finished my homework. ;)

I can't believe next week is the second to last week of school though. It seems like just yesterday it was my first day of middle school. Ah, well at least I'll have plenty of time to fix stuff up. I'll try to get everything done by June. Keep your fingers crossed and I'll keep mine crossed too. That gives me about 5 days to add/delete/revamp/organize/whateverelsethereistodo. Should be enough time, hopefully.

I have so much to say but my eyes hurt from being on the computer for so long.

Well, that's what you get when you put Sarah and computers together. XD

Oh, and 8 more days of school left.

Ever since I got home from school I began working on an entry for the Hero & Villains contest over at the Scribblers Abode.

Find the picture here

Tis too big for me to just post. But anyway, how do you like it? I made everything from scratch. Nothing was made from outside of The Sims 2 and photoshop. In fact I used this Explosion Effect Between Two Planets tutorial to help me make the planets 'boom.' Note how that website uses the same layout I used to have. XD Look like we have similar tastes.

Grr, I never got to talking about my sim. Her name is Clara and this is what I have to say about her. Oh and she has a tad of malevolence added to her personality. Villain all the way:

Clara Clemmens had it all as a child. The latest gadgets, the hot boyfriend, not to forget the persuasive chit chats. Her life was perfect, or as they thought. At home, her life contained epic episodes of arguments usually ending in tears and blood. Yes, Clara had anger management issues and the fact that her parents constantly bickered didn't help either.
They ended up sending Clara to boarding school. It was the best decision for all of them. There Clara met up with many others who were somebody totally different inside than they were outside. Together, they rebelled against all the school rules and ended up getting kicked out.
When Clara got back she was a complete rebel and her classmates could not believe this was the same person. It seemed like somebody totally different. She used to get all A's, now she did just good enough to pass. She used to hang out with the popular people, now she was by herself or with the punks. She used to dress preppy, now she wore not exactly trendy, revealing outfits.
Finally, Clara graduated high school and moved to Scribston City where she joined the dark side.

That's her! But talk about procrastinating. This is due tomorrow at noon and I made it now. Okay I guess I made the stars/planets earlier, but I didn't get around to finishing it today. Today which is also my sis's b-day (Happy Birthday), and a day semi-slammed with homework. Boring homework anyway. I have some science stuff out of the textbook and math with negative integers and such.

I'll get to updating the rest of the site with content on the weekend. It's four days long due to Bad Weather Makeup Day on Friday and Memorial Day on Monday. I'll have plenty of time on my hands.

At least there is only 11 MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT!

NEW LAYOUT!

I'm so excited to finally get a new layout up for you guys. I haven't done much anything in the past what, two weeks? But I'm back with this purrrrty layout I'm quite pleased with. It was pretty cooperative for once too. I barely got frustrated trying to build it which is a change. And I made it center in all browsers, in all resolutions which is something I've been trying to do for awhile, but it was never working out.

The navigation at the top moves as you hover over it, something I knew how to do but never attempted until now. The layout under it is quite skinny, but that's the way I like it.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing this layout for awhile. ;)

So I got fanupdate installed...again. The layout is okay. And so is the content as of today. I just really wanted to get the blog up and later I'll go in and mess with stuff (and make a new layout.) Just bear with me for the next few days.
